This is a 220 watt gear box that is being modified to drive the track assemblies.

These pictures show the modification to the final drive gear. Not pictured is the 1/2" pentagon drive hub which has been machined off. I have also included a picture of the fixture that was fabricated to position and hold the gear for the modification. Eight 1/4" drive holes have been machined into the face of the final drive gear to attach the delrin shaft adapter. The shaft adapter is attached to the gear using eight 10-32 machine screws 5/16" long. I will either add a broached 1/8" key way and set screw or 2 set screws at right angles to one another. I will fabricate a 3/4" shaft with a 12 mm section to pass through the gear box. The 3/4" shaft will connect to the drive sprocket in the track assembly.
