This is the circuit board we need to program using a special pogo pin connector. The boar is approximately 1.5” x 2.6” in size.

J4 is the reference designator of the pogo pin connector. It has 3 stainless pins that locate the connector and 10 small (0.020”) pogo pins that make connection to the gold pads on the PCB.

This is the pogo pin connector installed into the current fixture. This particular connector has had the stainless pins modified to reduce their length.

Here you can see the connector engaging the PCB in the current fixture. You can see the misalignment of the pins to the holes in the PCB .

The following photos show the fixture from several angles to give you a sense of what has been done.

The whole fixture is approximately a 7” cube.

Due to the inaccuracies of the 3d printed parts the linear rods have been left a little on the loose side to allow the carriage to move freely. This results in poor positioning of the connector on the PCB.

Maybe we can use a guided dual rod cylinder with about 4 inches of travel to move the connector up and down. You may also have another style linear cylinder that will work. We are looking for something cost effective and in stock to work with and we can design our parts around the  SMC parts.
